The Board of Commissioners in Lindenwold, New Jersey, has been honored with a New Jersey Leading Capital Construction Project Award by the New Jersey Alliance for Action. This recognition is for the Kings Highway rehabilitation project that commenced in September. The award program acknowledges significant construction projects that have a substantial impact on the state's economy and celebrates collaborative efforts among businesses and organizations.

Commissioner Al Dyer expressed gratitude for the award, stating, "The Board of Commissioners is dedicated to investing in our county’s infrastructure to ensure its longevity and stability for generations to come." He highlighted the project's importance, saying it will enhance a major thoroughfare and improve conditions for various transportation modes. "We want to thank the NJ Alliance for Action for this award," he added.

The Kings Highway project represents an investment exceeding $10.7 million and covers areas within Haddon Heights, Audubon, and Mt. Ephraim. It aims to transform Kings Highway from Market Street to Hopkins Road into a safer route for motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians.

Key aspects of the project include milling or removing existing concrete pavement, installing hot-mix asphalt pavement, resurfacing sections of the highway, reconstructing specific areas fully, improving storm sewer systems, cleaning sanitary sewer systems with lateral replacements, adding ADA-accessible curb ramps, as well as traffic striping and signage improvements.

The work is scheduled for completion in 2025. Residents can stay informed about progress reports and traffic control plans by visiting https://www.kingshighwaycc.com/. For inquiries related to this project, residents can contact Paul Nolan at Colliers Engineering & Design at (732) 704-5931 or report concerns regarding Camden County roadways at (856) 566-2980 or via www.camdencounty.com.
