New Jersey Congressman Jeff Van Drew is opposing the impeachment of President Donald Trump and calls on President-elect Joe Biden to unite the nation.

“I’m calling on the president-elect, Joe Biden, to say, “Enough. Let’s try to come together,” Rep. Van Drew said in an interview.

He also noted that the impeachment, which he called an “unbelievable” and “divisive” move, would be a waste of time and money, and would result in the discord of the United States of America. He further noted that Trump would no longer be in office by the time Speaker Nancy Pelosi could follow through on the impeachment.

Discussions and proposals on Trump’s impeachments were being pursued after the violent attack on Wednesday at the Capitol Building during the joint session of Congress ratifying Joe Biden’s win over Donald Trump in the presidential election.

Prior to the attack, Trump had thousands of his loyalists listening to his speech on the Ellipse, questioning the votes.

“All of us here today do not want to see our election victory stolen by emboldened radical Democrats,” Trump told his supporters. “We will never give up. We will never concede. It will never happen. You don’t concede when there’s theft involved. Our country has had enough. We will not take it anymore."
