The dead voting has been a problem in New Jersey for some time.
This primary election several votes were recorded in the names of several deceased, some for those who had been dead nearly seven years.

Election records show deceased voters were reported in New York City during the Nov., 3 election.
Earlier in the election season the Associated Press reported a scheme to register deceased voters in Florida.
The Heritage Foundation has recorded around 1,200 cases of voter fraud in which ballots were cast by the dead.
