Senator Jon Bramnick (R-21) announced his intention to introduce a resolution aimed at promoting civility among New Jersey residents. The statement emphasizes the importance of respectful political discourse.

"In 2005 I introduced a bi-partisan resolution in the State Assembly urging New Jersey residents to treat each other civilly. That resolution was not considered by the Assembly for more than a decade," Bramnick stated.

He noted that the resolution eventually passed unanimously in 2017, underscoring its enduring relevance. "The spirit of that resolution is as important as ever. Let me be clear, debating our political differences makes us stronger. But that debate should never devolve into hateful rhetoric, treating opponents as enemies, or turning to violence."

Bramnick has begun drafting a new version of this resolution and invites all members of the Senate and Assembly to join him in this effort to restore respect and civility in politics.
