Applications for the Route 80 Business Assistance Grant Program will open on April 22 at 10:00 a.m., according to the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA). The program aims to assist local businesses affected by the Route 80 sinkhole disaster.
Senate Republican Leader Anthony M. Bucco expressed his support for the initiative. “I’m glad to share that starting April 22, local businesses impacted by the Route 80 sinkhole disaster can begin applying for much-needed relief through the Route 80 Business Assistance Grant Program,” Bucco said. He emphasized the importance of the program as “a lifeline for the small businesses that have endured months of financial hardship due to lane closures and traffic congestion.” Bucco also thanked Governor Murphy and the NJEDA for their collaboration in providing support to small businesses affected by the disaster, urging all eligible businesses to apply.
The application process will operate on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds are depleted. Further information, including eligibility requirements and frequently asked questions, is available online.
