The Camden County Sheriff's Department has initiated a new effort as part of the National Take Back Initiative. A prescription medication drop box is now available on the first floor of Camden City Hall, located at 520 Market Street. This initiative is designed to offer a safe and convenient method for residents to dispose of their unused or expired prescription drugs.

Sheriff Gilbert "Whip" Wilson emphasized the importance of this program, stating, "Ensuring the proper disposal of your unused medications is crucial to prevent them from potentially being misused or abused." He encouraged community members to check their medicine cabinets and bring any expired or unused medications to the Sheriff's Office in Camden.

The drop box will be accessible from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, until October 28 at 10 a.m., when all collected medications will be properly disposed of.
