Governor Phil Murphy signed bipartisan legislation today, sponsored by Senator Holly Schepisi (R-39), to finance various environmental infrastructure projects throughout the state.

"These funds will provide a critical investment to support over 240 environmental infrastructure projects throughout the State," said Sen. Schepisi. "Ensuring that we have a clean environment for our residents is quintessential in making New Jersey a place where people can be proud to live, work, and raise a family."

Senator Schepisi’s bill (S-3384), now law, appropriates funds to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to support the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Financing Program (NJEIFP). These funds will be used to finance infrastructure projects through loans to local governments and privately-owned water companies.

For more information about the new law, visit the official website. To speak with Sen. Schepisi, contact Chris Sivel, SRO Deputy Director of Communications at [email protected].
