On Wednesday, the Board of Commissioners joined Mayor Carstarphen and Camden Strong volunteers in Yorkship Square to assist in cleaning and beautifying the Fairview neighborhood. The event also featured a service fair with over 18 city and county departments.
“Events like these are always special because it is a time where the city and county can come together with residents to make this neighborhood a nicer place to live,” said Commissioner Al Dyer. “Working in Fairview and engaging our neighbors is another opportunity to enhance and improve our community. Also, this will be a one-stop-shop for residents for almost any question they have about city or county services.”
Throughout the 2024 cleanup season, the city’s Department of Public Works will be on-site to collect debris, including large bulk trash items. Manufacturers Recycling Management Company (MRM) will provide free electronic recycling collection. Camden residents will also receive information on recycling, e-waste, trash disposal, litter prevention, and other city programs.
