May is Mental Health Awareness Month

3

Women United For A Stronger New Jersey recently issued the following announcement.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. We are proud to host four passionate women dedicated to ending the stigma and destructive behaviors associated with mental health. Learn the signs and symptoms, how to recognize and acknowledge early warning signs, and the resources and support available.

On May 17th WUSNJ will introduce mental health consultant Gail Schoenbach from Mental Health Direct, Commissioner of Social Services and Mental Health of Orange County, Darcie M. Miller, Alyssa Dawson, mental health advocate and Dr. Christina Checinski Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine & Certified Neurofeedback Trainer.

Empower yourself, or someone you know, towards a journey of recovery and a culture of health. Mental illness is not a choice, but recovery is.

Please feel free to share this invitation with other women. We look forward to seeing you all again.

Warmly,

Mae, Danyel, and Cynthia Urbaez
