NJ Transit has announced the closure of a bridge on Ohio Avenue in Waterford starting Monday afternoon, citing maintenance concerns. The bridge is set to reopen by Thursday, April 3.

Commissioner Al Dyer, who acts as the liaison to the Department of Public Works, advised motorists to "seek alternate routes to avoid any delays." He further reminded the public to "slow down and watch for debris and crew members when driving near a work area."

The Camden County Department of Public Works handles the maintenance of more than 1,200 miles of county roadways, 50 bridges, and numerous dams. Their efforts focus on enhancing safety for both motorists and pedestrians through various highway construction projects and routine maintenance tasks, such as pothole repairs, street sweeping, and storm drainage management. The department's personnel are available around the clock in their Lindenwold location to assist residents.

For any issues on Camden County roads, residents are encouraged to call (856) 566-2980 or visit the county's official website.
