On July 31, State Director Eileen Kean reached out to New Jersey Labor Commissioner Robert Asaro-Angelo with a request concerning penalties linked to employer obligations. These obligations involve providing information to the Division of Unemployment Insurance as mandated by P.L. 202, c. 120. Kean asked for these penalties to be postponed until employers are informed about the new changes.

The Department of Labor & Workforce Development is set to enforce the new law and its associated changes this week.
