New Jersey is currently ranked the lowest in the State Business Tax Climate Index, but there is potential for change with new legislation under consideration. The proposed law would allow business owners to claim a 20% deduction on qualified business income, mirroring the federal small business tax deduction.

This legislative effort aims to offer relief to small businesses burdened by New Jersey's high taxes. Additionally, other proposals seek to address the state's Corporate Business Tax (CBT). If enacted, these reforms could provide financial benefits to many business owners in the state.

"Join NFIB in telling your lawmakers to pass this legislation and provide support for the backbone of the New Jersey economy!"
