Senator Owen Henry was recently recognized by the Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA) for his efforts in addressing Hinduphobia and anti-Hindu bigotry. The honor was presented during CoHNA's Annual Tristate Gala.

“I am extremely grateful to receive this honor by the Coalition of Hindus of North America,” stated Senator Henry. He added, “No one should feel attacked for who they are and I look forward to continuing working together to ensure we put an end to Hinduphobia and all forms of bigotry and intolerance.”

Senator Henry played a key role as a sponsor of SCR104, a resolution that condemns Hinduphobia and anti-Hindu bigotry. The resolution also positions New Jersey as a state that embraces the diversity contributed by Hindu Americans.

The Coalition of Hindus of North America is a grassroots advocacy organization representing the Hindu community across North America. CoHNA focuses on protecting the interests of the Hindu community by addressing issues they face and educating others about Hindu heritage and traditions.
