On Saturday, the Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center organized its annual Pledge a Paw fundraiser. This event is the shelter's largest of the year and included various activities such as 50 vendor booths, children's activities, music, a K9 demonstration by the Bellmawr Police Department, and a pet costume contest. Dogs and cats were also available for adoption during the event.

Commissioner Jeffrey Nash, who serves as a liaison to the shelter, commented on the significance of the event. "Homeward Bound does incredible work caring for animals that do not have a forever home and this event is crucial to keep that work going," he stated. He further added, "Saturday was a wonderful opportunity for anyone who has been considering adopting a pet, to do so. I encourage everyone to support this amazing organization."
