PSE&G Electric will be undertaking various roadwork projects in Camden County, causing temporary road closures and lane shifts. The utility company will be replacing utility poles on Burnt Mill Road in Cherry Hill, Market Street in Camden, and Hutchinson Avenue in Barrington from Monday, April 8 to Friday, April 12.

According to Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works, motorists are advised to plan ahead and take alternate routes during this period. Dyer emphasized the importance of being cautious while driving through construction areas, urging drivers to slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.

The Camden County Department of Public Works, responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges, is committed to enhancing safety for motorists and pedestrians through various construction projects and road maintenance activities. These include pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting, and storm drainage upkeep.

Residents of Camden County are encouraged to report any concerns on county roadways by calling (856) 566-2980 or visiting www.camdencounty.com. The Public Works Department in Lindenwold operates 24/7 to serve the community's needs.
