Senator Michael Testa (R-1), co-chair of the Legislative Manufacturing Caucus and sponsor of S-4625, expressed his enthusiasm for the removal of brewery restrictions in New Jersey. Testa praised the bipartisan effort that led to this development, stating, "For far too long breweries and distilleries were hamstrung by oppressive rules that overregulated their businesses." He highlighted the progress made in ensuring the security and stability of these businesses, adding, "With the help of strong bipartisan support, we have since made great strides to ensure security and stability for these businesses moving forward."
Testa, as the sponsor of the bill, took pride in the positive impact of the removal of these restrictions on state breweries, saying, "As a sponsor of this bill, it brings me great pride to celebrate the removal of these unnecessary restrictions hampering our incredible state breweries." He emphasized the potential for growth and success for breweries in New Jersey, remarking, "Thanks to this bill, breweries that were suffocating under previous restrictions will not only survive, but they will also thrive here in the Garden State."
Looking ahead, Testa expressed his commitment to supporting the brewery industry and its contribution to tourism in New Jersey, stating, "I look forward to continue advocating for this important industry and the integral role it plays in growing tourism for all of New Jersey." The removal of these restrictions is expected to create a more favorable environment for breweries and distilleries in the state, paving the way for increased economic opportunities and tourism.
