Senate Republican Leader Anthony M. Bucco (R-25) made a strong statement criticizing Governor Murphy and Trenton Democrats for what he perceives as interference with parental rights in their children's education. Bucco's remarks came in response to a recent Fairleigh Dickson University Poll indicating a significant desire among parents to have more influence over their children's education.
"It is clear from the FDU poll that parents want a say in their kid's education. Republicans have said time and time again that children succeed best when parents and teachers are partners," stated Bucco, emphasizing the importance of parental involvement in education.
Highlighting the need for action, Bucco added, "New Jerseyans want these issues addressed immediately and Republicans stand ready to provide solutions."
The Fairleigh Dickson University Poll revealed that a striking 76% of parents feel they should have a say in choosing or influencing what their children learn in schools, underscoring the widespread desire for parental involvement in education matters.
