Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. met with representatives from the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey and four local mayors on Friday, April 4th. The meeting was held to discuss initiatives and programs aimed at promoting economic growth in Camden County.
During the event, Cappelli emphasized the presence of numerous projects fueling economic activity and job creation in the region. “We have an expansive list of exciting projects and initiatives that are fueling growth and job creation here in Camden County,” Cappelli stated. Highlighting the diverse development projects, he mentioned the significant $3 billion expansion of Cooper University Health Care in Camden City and other ventures such as the emergence of new restaurants and housing developments at Silver Lake in Gibbsboro.
Cappelli expressed optimism about the county's economic future and looked forward to engaging with the mayors about further opportunities. “I look forward to highlighting more projects and having an in-depth discussion with the mayors from several communities about what the future looks like in our communities when it comes to economic development,” he added.
The meeting served as a platform for exchanging ideas and discussing strategies to sustain the economic momentum in Camden County.
