The Camden County Police Department (CCPD) is marking another year of its Bookmates program, in collaboration with the Camden City Schools and the Jewish Community Relations Council. Since 2015, CCPD officers have participated in this initiative by reading to kindergarten students at Dudley Elementary and Forest Hill Elementary schools every Tuesday and Friday.

Camden Mayor Vic Carstarphen, Superintendent Katrina McCombs, and other local officials were present to discuss the significance of reading with young children. They emphasized how such activities can aid in developing children's reading skills and fostering a love for reading.
