New Jersey Department of Transportation officials have announced the lifting of the Commercial Vehicle Travel Restriction as of 8 a.m. today, Sunday, February 16. This change applies to all interstate highways.
Vehicles that were previously restricted can now travel normally on several highways, including I-78, I-80, I-280, I-287, and NJ Route 440 from the Outerbridge Crossing to I-287.
While interstate and state highways are in good condition, roads remain wet and may be slippery. Motorists are advised to exercise caution as road conditions can change quickly. Drivers should reduce speed and adhere to posted limits. Crews will continue monitoring road conditions throughout the day.
