In a recent statement, Senator Jim Holzapfel criticized New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin for filing multiple lawsuits against former President Donald Trump. Holzapfel accused Platkin of using taxpayer money for what he described as "frivolous lawsuits" and claimed these actions were meant to gain favor with Democratic leaders.

Holzapfel stated, "Once again, Matt Platkin has demonstrated a disregard for taxpayer money by pursuing frivolous lawsuits against President Trump—efforts clearly aimed at scoring political points with Democratic leadership for his own personal gain." He expressed concern that these legal actions divert attention and resources from more pressing local issues.

According to Holzapfel, New Jersey's sanctuary state policies are already placing a burden on municipalities by pulling essential resources away from critical services such as law enforcement, schools, and hospitals. He urged Platkin to shift focus towards policies that enhance public safety and benefit the residents of New Jersey.

Holzapfel concluded his remarks by saying, "Rather than wasting time on political theater, Platkin should refocus his efforts on policies that actually strengthen public safety and protect the well-being of New Jerseyans."
