Congressman Donald Norcross, representing New Jersey’s 1st district, has recently shared his thoughts on several pressing issues via social media. Norcross, who succeeded Rob Andrews in Congress in 2014, expressed his stance on gun violence and women's rights while also congratulating a new assemblywoman.

On January 22, 2025, Congressman Norcross addressed the issue of gun violence during Gun Violence Survivor Week. He emphasized his support for survivors and the memory of those lost to gun violence. He stated that in 2022 he voted for the Safer Communities Act, describing it as "the most historic gun safety law passed in nearly 30 years." However, he called for further action by stating that "common-sense reforms are long overdue. Enough is enough."

Later that day, Norcross commented on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. He reflected on the impact of abortion bans across several states which have restricted access to healthcare for millions of Americans. He warned that "Women are dying & will continue to die because of these reckless attacks on their healthcare."

On January 23, 2025, Norcross congratulated Melinda Kane on her swearing-in as Assemblywoman for New Jersey's 6th District. He acknowledged her personal losses and her commitment to serving her community by saying "Her strength and dedication are inspiring."
