Congressman Donald Norcross of New Jersey's 1st district, shared his thoughts on recent political events via social media. On January 23, 2025, he posted a series of tweets regarding the attack on the U.S. Capitol and actions taken by former President Trump.

In one tweet, Norcross reflected on the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. He described watching as "insurrectionists attacked the U.S. Capitol while chanting that they wanted to hang Vice President Pence and kill Speaker Pelosi." He equated these actions with assassination attempts against President Trump.

Another post from Norcross highlighted President Trump's decision to pardon individuals involved in the January 6th events. He stated that "on his first day in office, President Trump pardoned 170 felons who violently attacked police officers on January 6th." Norcross expressed his personal witness of the insurrection.

Finally, Congressman Norcross criticized these pardons in a separate tweet, asserting that "these pardons go against everything that our country stands for."
