Kings Highway in Haddon Heights will be closed for two days this week as part of an ongoing improvement project. The section between Black Horse Pike and East Lake Drive will be inaccessible from 7 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, until 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 31.

Commissioner Al Dyer, who is the liaison to the Department of Public Works, commented on the closure: “While this closure may be inconvenient to travelers in the area, it will be brief and is an important step in this transformative improvement project.” He advised motorists to avoid the area during the closure and to find alternate routes before traveling. He also reminded drivers to slow down and watch for debris and road crew members when traveling through construction areas.

Residents with concerns or questions about the project can contact Paul Nolan, Project Manager at Colliers Engineering & Design, at (732) 704-5931. Concerns regarding any Camden County roadways can be reported by calling (856) 566-2980 or visiting www.camdencounty.com.

The Camden County Department of Public Works maintains over 1,200 miles of county roadway, along with 50 bridges and several dams. They focus on making the area safer for both motorists and pedestrians through various highway construction projects and road maintenance activities such as pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting, and storm drainage upkeep. The department operates out of Lindenwold with personnel available around the clock to serve Camden County residents.
