The Board of Commissioners continued its Summer Concert Series with a performance by the Lao Tizer Band this week, ahead of the Freedom Festival on July 3.
Monday’s Sunset Jazz Series show, which began at 8 p.m., took place at Wiggins Park and featured the Lao Tizer Band. The ensemble includes notable musicians such as Elliott Yamin, Eric Marienthal, Karen Briggs, and Chieli Minucci, who brought a mix of jazz, funk, rock, and world rhythms to the event.
“These concerts are for people to come together and be with their fellow community members,” said Commissioner Ed McDonnell, liaison to the Department of Events and Community Outreach. “We strive to provide our citizens with active nightlife activities, and these concerts accomplish that while showcasing the incredible talent we have in South Jersey.”
Admission to all shows is free and open to everyone.
