Senator Robert Singer and Assemblyman Sean Kean, both representing the 30th district, have spoken out against an anti-Semitic billboard that has sparked controversy in Howell, New Jersey. The billboard in question, promoting a pro-Palestine message, has drawn strong condemnation from the lawmakers.
In a joint statement, Senator Singer expressed his dismay, stating, “This blatant display of antisemitism right here in our own backyard is as disgusting as it is heartbreaking." He went on to condemn the perpetuation of hate and violence towards Jewish people, emphasizing that such actions only serve to spread misinformation and contribute to the rising tide of anti-Semitic incidents in the country. Singer also criticized the owners of the billboard for allowing such a message to be displayed, asserting that the people of New Jersey deserve better.
Assemblyman Kean echoed these sentiments, declaring, “There is no place for these disgraceful acts of antisemitism -- not in New Jersey or anywhere else." He further denounced any effort to promote such messages, describing them as a disrespect to the memory of innocent individuals who have lost their lives at the hands of Hamas terrorists.
The statements from Singer and Kean reflect a unified stance against anti-Semitism and a firm commitment to combating hate speech and discriminatory actions within the state of New Jersey.
