Three bills sponsored by Senator Vince Polistina have been signed into law by Governor Murphy, signaling significant changes for New Jersey residents. Senator Polistina expressed his satisfaction with the legislative advancements, stating, “I’m proud that Governor Murphy signed these bills into law. These three pieces of legislation will improve the lives of so many New Jerseyans.”

The first bill, S-1110, paves the way for a new transportation line from Atlantic City International Airport, aiming to make it more convenient for tourists to access Atlantic City casinos and businesses. This development is set to enhance transportation options for visitors and locals alike.

The second bill, S-2535, brings important amendments to “Grace’s Law,” originally named in honor of Grace Gleba, a staunch advocate for hearing-impaired children. This legislation now mandates that all health insurers in the state provide coverage for medically-necessary hearing aids for children aged 15 and younger, ensuring access to crucial healthcare services.

Lastly, S-4040 clarifies the operations of regional municipal courts, stipulating that they are no longer obligated to handle State Police or county police cases from areas outside their jurisdiction. This adjustment is designed to streamline court processes and enhance efficiency, with counties retaining the option to confer specific countywide jurisdiction upon regional municipal courts through ordinance.

In conclusion, the enactment of these three bills signifies a step forward in improving healthcare coverage, transportation accessibility, and judicial efficiency in New Jersey.
