Senator Vince Polistina, a Republican representing the 2nd district, has strongly criticized the Biden Administration's proposal to use Atlantic City International Airport as a potential location to accommodate migrants from New York City. In a statement, Polistina expressed his firm opposition, emphasizing the impact on Atlantic County residents.

"My message to President Biden and NYC Mayor Adams is 'hell no!' Atlantic County residents shouldn't be forced to pay the price for the Biden Administration's disastrous handling of our border and the outrageous 'Sanctuary' state and city policies of Democrats in Washington, New York, Trenton and across the country," stated Polistina.

He also called upon Governor Murphy, as well as U.S. Senators Booker and Menendez, to unite in rejecting the plan, which he described as an attempt to transfer unvetted migrants to Atlantic City Airport and extend a humanitarian crisis to their community.

Polistina's strong stance reflects concerns about the consequences of such a decision and underscores his opposition to what he perceives as the administration's mishandling of border issues. The senator's call for solidarity among state and federal officials highlights the gravity of the situation as he seeks to shield Atlantic County from bearing the burden of policies he vehemently opposes.
