The Camden County Board of Commissioners has announced that the WinterFest Ice Skating Rink at Cooper River Park will reopen for the 2025-2026 season. The rink, located across from the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Cherry Hill, will open on Friday, November 28, and remain available Thursday through Sunday until February 22, 2025.

Commissioner Jeffrey Nash, who serves as liaison to the Parks Department, commented on the event’s return. “Winterfest has become a beloved holiday tradition in Camden County, and we are thrilled to celebrate its 12th year with our community,” Nash said. “I invite residents and visitors alike to take part in this festive opportunity for outdoor fun at Cooper River Park, which has become premier attraction for visitors throughout the state.”

The ice rink measures 60 feet by 120 feet and is part of a seasonal transformation of Cooper River Park that includes holiday decorations and food available for purchase inside the lodge. Regular operating hours are Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from noon to 10 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 9 p.m.

Admission is free for children aged three and under. Children ages four to twelve pay $7, adults pay $9, while veterans and seniors receive a discounted rate of $6. Skate rentals cost $6 per person, with skate sharpening available for $6.50. Free parking is offered around the park.

Special holiday hours include extended opening times during late December holidays such as Christmas Eve (noon–5 p.m.), New Year’s Eve (noon–8 p.m.), and other dates around Christmas and New Year’s Day when hours vary or the rink is closed.

WinterFest also serves as an official Toys for Tots drop-off location this season. More information can be found at CamdenCounty.com/WinterFest.
