The New Jersey Senate has approved legislation that would allocate a $7.65 million grant to the Cumberland County Technical Education Center (CCTEC). This bill, sponsored by Senator Michael Testa, aims to enhance career and technical education opportunities at the school.
“With the Senate’s passage of this bill, we are one step closer to ensuring that Cumberland County Technical Education Center has resources necessary to expand its career and technical education programs,” said Sen. Testa. “CCTEC offers students valuable opportunities to gain hands-on experience, earn industry certifications, and get a head start on college curriculum. This grant will not only help CCTEC provide even more students with the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop essential skills for success, but it will also go a long way to improve manufacturing training in South Jersey.”
The bipartisan bill identified as S-3825 proposes using funds from the “Securing our Children’s Future Fund” for this purpose.
