Bipartisan legislation introduced by Senator Robert Singer has been signed into law by Governor Murphy. The new law aims to fund summer tuition aid grants (TAG), addressing the financial challenges faced by students as tuition rates continue to increase.

Senator Singer stated, "As tuition rates continue to rise, this bill makes a critical investment in financial aid, empowering students to reach their academic goals faster with less debt." He emphasized that the Summer TAG program will assist students in staying on track, graduating on time, and entering the workforce better prepared. "I commend Governor Murphy for signing this bill to support students in their academic pursuits," added Sen. Singer.

The legislation, identified as S-3602/A-4811, allocates $20 million for the Summer TAG program for eligible students during the summer 2025 semester.
