On Saturday, October 19, the Board of Commissioners will host a household hazardous waste collection event in Lindenwold. This initiative allows county residents to dispose of hazardous materials that should not be discarded with regular trash. Items such as antifreeze, oil-based paints, weed killer, and household cleansers are among those accepted.

The collection will take place at the Camden County Public Works Complex located at 2311 Egg Harbor Road in Lindenwold. The event is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"This is a great opportunity to clear out your home of items that can’t just be tossed into the garbage," said Commissioner Jeffrey Nash, who serves as liaison to the office of Environmental Affairs. "These collections also cut down on the number of toxic materials making their way into the environment by collecting and disposing of them in the proper manner."

Participants must provide proof of residency and remain in their vehicles during the event. All items for disposal should be placed in the vehicle's rear cargo area rather than in passenger seating.

For more details on accepted materials, refer to the attached flier.
