Senator Bramnick (R-21) has voiced his strong support for a constitutional amendment aimed at safeguarding students' right to attend their local schools. In a recent statement, Bramnick emphasized the importance of passing the proposed amendment, SCR-67, to ensure that New Jersey families retain this fundamental right.

According to Bramnick, "Students must be allowed to attend their local schools. It is very important that the Legislature pass my constitutional amendment, SCR-67, to protect this right for New Jersey families." He further stressed that "Mediators working on a settlement for the State should not compromise the right of students to attend their neighborhood schools."

The proposed constitutional amendment, SCR-67, put forward by Senator Bramnick, seeks to prevent any student from being mandated to attend a public school other than the one closest to their residence. The initiative comes in response to ongoing efforts in New Jersey to resolve a lawsuit involving plaintiffs that could potentially impact the ability of families to choose their local schools.

In light of these developments, Senator Bramnick's advocacy for SCR-67 underscores his commitment to upholding the rights of students and families in the state. The proposed amendment aims to provide a legal framework that ensures the protection of students' access to education in their neighborhood schools.
