State Senator Bramnick (R-21) has raised concerns about a recent court decision that could potentially impact parents' ability to choose neighborhood schools for their children. Bramnick emphasized the importance of passing his proposed constitutional amendment, SCR-67, to safeguard this right.

"It is very important to pass SCR-67. My constitutional amendment protects the rights of New Jerseyans to send their children to neighborhood schools," stated Bramnick. He further expressed his apprehension that the court decision made by Judge Lougy might jeopardize this choice in the future.

SCR-67, if enacted, would prevent any student from being mandated to attend a public school other than the one closest to their residence. Bramnick's initiative aims to ensure that families retain the freedom to select neighborhood schools for their children without external interference.
