Singh: It’s Time For a Governor Who Will Protect the Lives of the Unborn

The unborn children of New Jersey can’t afford another governor who won’t protect their right to life. In the Declaration of Independence, our nation’s founding document, the right to life is listed as the first among “inalienable” rights granted to us by our Creator. Unfortunately, some politicians have chosen to only selectively apply this pillar of liberty, denying the right to life for those who can’t speak up for themselves.

These politicians often like to give themselves the title of being “pro-choice.” However, they fail to recognize that abortion actually denies a choice – the choice of the unborn to lead a happy, productive life.

It’s normally only Democrats who support abortion on demand. Under Phil Murphy’s administration, organizations like Planned Parenthood have infiltrated New Jersey schools and communities and attempted to replace traditional religious and family values with state-sanctioned liberal orthodoxy. Murphy’s pro-abortion stance is not only immoral, it’s also a threat to the social fabric of our nation.

Unfortunately, Jack Ciattarelli shares Governor Murphy’s pro-abortion beliefs. His stance on pro-life issues is wildly out of line with conservatives in New Jersey and throughout the country. If Jack is elected, it will be four more years of our state government abandoning its responsibility to defend the unborn. Just as he has on issues like gun control and taxes, Jack has caved to the liberal media and RINO establishment Republicans.

The next governor of New Jersey must defend the lives of the unborn as literally a matter of life and death. If I am elected, I will immediately end all taxpayer funding of abortions, including through Planned Parenthood. I will also enact the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would outlaw abortions for unborn children capable of feeling pain and would mandate that any baby born alive during an abortion be given life-saving care.

I also recognize that part of ending the abortion epidemic in our country involves promoting a culture of life, increasing access to adoption for unwanted pregnancies and promoting conditions where families can thrive. By empowering expectant parents through economic stability and restoring loving homes as the center of our communities, we can ensure that all children, born and unborn, have the opportunity to enjoy the many blessings of our great nation.
