Senator Michael Testa has expressed concerns about the vulnerability of offshore wind farms to potential sabotage by foreign entities. In a letter addressed to Governor Murphy, Testa referenced recent reports suggesting that Russia may have severed undersea cables in the Baltic Sea.

Testa’s letter includes a pointed observation: “Our nation’s security is dependent on energy. It’s hard to imagine a dumber place to locate our energy production than far offshore with energy transmission cables in our oceans. They will be sitting ducks and an obvious first target for foreign hostile powers.”

The full content of the letter is available for public reading.
