Senator Anthony M. Bucco has been unanimously reelected as the Republican Leader of the New Jersey Senate for the 2026-2027 legislative session. The decision was made during a meeting of the Senate Republican Caucus.

“I’m honored that my colleagues have again placed their trust in me to lead the Senate Republican Caucus,” said Sen. Bucco. “Our caucus is made up of dedicated public servants who care deeply about making New Jersey more affordable, safer, and stronger for every family. I look forward to working with the Governor-elect in the upcoming legislative session, having a seat at the table, and continuing to fight for a more affordable New Jersey. Together, we’ll continue to be a steady, solutions-focused voice in Trenton, holding the line on taxes, standing up for common-sense policies, and delivering results that made a real difference in people’s lives.”

Bucco also introduced members of the Senate Republican leadership team for the 222nd Legislature, which will start in January. The team includes Senators Bob Singer and Joe Pennacchio as Deputy Republican Leaders; Holly Schepisi as Conference Leader; Michael Testa as Whip; Declan O’Scanlon as Budget Officer; Kristin Corrado as Ranking Member of the Judiciary; and Vince Polistina as Deputy Conference Leader.
