The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) has announced that the left lane on Route 202 northbound will be closed for repairs between the Somerville Circle and Route 22 in Bridgewater, Somerset County. The closure is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, February 13, to allow for priority inlet repair work.
According to NJDOT, repairs were recently completed on an inlet along Route 202 southbound near this location earlier in the week. The right lane on Route 202 northbound and the ramp from the Somerville Circle onto Route 202 northbound will remain open during the repair period.
“If work is not completed on Friday, the left lane will be closed on Monday, February 16 at the same time if necessary,” NJDOT stated.
Drivers are being advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays while traveling through the area. The timing of the work may change depending on weather or other unforeseen factors.
