(Lindenwold, NJ) – Next week, downtown Camden City will see significant changes as a major restoration project is set to commence on Market and Federal streets. The project, initiated by PSE&G, will lead to lane closures along these key roads, affecting the flow of traffic in the area.

According to Commissioner Al Dyer, the liaison to the Department of Public Works, motorists should be prepared for disruptions due to the construction work. Dyer emphasized the importance of planning ahead and considering alternate routes to reach their destinations on time. He advised, “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

The Camden County Department of Public Works, tasked with the upkeep of over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges, aims to enhance safety for both motorists and pedestrians. Their responsibilities include road maintenance activities such as pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting, and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department, headquartered in Lindenwold, operates round the clock to serve the residents of Camden County.

To address any concerns regarding road conditions in Camden County, individuals can contact the department at (856) 566-2980 or visit www.camdencounty.com. The upcoming restoration project underscores the ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the infrastructure in the region, ensuring a smoother and safer travel experience for all.
