Officials have announced a new addition to the PGA TOUR Champions schedule with the introduction of the Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic. Beginning in the fall of 2026, this tournament will be held annually at the Lehigh Country Club in Allentown, Pennsylvania, for a span of five years. According to organizers, the event is expected to infuse $50 million into the local economy.
The inaugural tournament is set for the week of September 28, 2026, featuring 78 renowned PGA TOUR Champions players such as Stewart Cink, Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington, and Bernhard Langer. The proceeds are earmarked for local charities, with the Valley Youth House and Eagles Autism Foundation being the primary beneficiaries.
The tournament will be covered by GOLF Channel, the official cable partner of the PGA TOUR Champions, and internationally by 22 media partners across more than 170 countries and territories.
HNS Sports Group, an LLC experienced in golf event management, will organize the tournament. Tournaments for Charity, a nonprofit entity, will act as the host organization.
PGA TOUR Champions President Miller Brady expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with Jefferson Health and bring PGA TOUR Champions golf to the Lehigh Valley.”
Jefferson Health, one of the largest nonprofit healthcare systems, will serve as the event’s title sponsor. Dr. Joe Cacchione, CEO of Jefferson, highlighted the importance of the event for the region, saying, “This is all about making a long-term, positive impact on the Lehigh Valley and the surrounding areas.”
Nick Ragone, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Jefferson, emphasized the event’s charitable focus, saying, “We already know that our charitable partners will be the real winners.”
Located in the Lehigh Valley, Lehigh Country Club is esteemed as one of Pennsylvania’s top golf destinations. Designed by William S. Flynn, the course features significant elevation changes and is known for its expert routing.
