Ogden Station Road, also known as County Route 648, will be closed for railroad crossing repairs starting Monday in West Deptford, Gloucester County. The closure will occur between Windsor Drive/Hampton Court and Ginger Road from 7 a.m. on July 7 until 5 p.m. on July 15.

The road will be closed in both directions to allow for the removal and reconstruction of the existing railroad crossing and its approaches. Detours have been established for motorists during this period.

For those traveling eastbound on Ogden Station Road/CR 648 from Kings Highway/CR 551, drivers will be directed to Parkville Station Road/CR 656 eastbound and then instructed to turn right onto Route 45/Mantua Pike southbound to return to Ogden Station Road/CR 648.

Westbound travelers on Route 45/Mantua Pike wishing to access Ogden Station Road/CR 648 will be directed to Parkville Station Road/CR 656 westbound and advised to turn left onto Kings Highway/CR 551 southbound back to Ogden Station Road/CR 648.

The project aims to provide safer and smoother railroad crossings by replacing the current crossing with new concrete crossings and asphalt approaches. This initiative is part of NJDOT’s federally funded railroad grade-crossing safety program, which addresses approximately 50 crossings annually across the state.

The schedule may change due to weather or other unforeseen factors. Motorists are encouraged to visit NJDOT’s traffic information website at www.511nj.org for real-time updates. For more NJDOT news, follow them on X (Twitter) @NewJerseyDOT, Facebook, or Instagram @NewJersey.DOT.
