Congressman Donald Norcross, representing New Jersey’s 1st district since 2014, shared a series of tweets addressing recent developments of interest. Norcross, who has been a member of the U.S. Congress since succeeding Rob Andrews, took part in various discussions ranging from honoring naval history to commenting on current political conditions.

On March 31, 2025, Norcross expressed honor for attending the commissioning of the USS Lenah Sutcliffe Higbee. He mentioned his pride in seeing the ship now carry a battle flag that honors the “Sacred Twenty,” a group of pioneering women in the U.S. Navy, indicating his admiration for their legacy and dedication. “Honored to have attended the commissioning of the USS Lenah Sutcliffe Higbee last year, and proud to see the ship now carrying a battle flag that pays tribute to the Sacred Twenty—the pioneering women who paved the way for so many in the U.S. Navy. Their dedication and service”

The following day, on April 1, 2025, Norcross displayed a fighting spirit typical of his state, New Jersey, while supporting Senator Cory Booker, stating that they “never back down from a fight.” This post highlights his support for political allies in challenging situations. “In Jersey we never back down from a fight! @SenBooker is proving that tonight.”

Later on April 1, 2025, Norcross shared his critical perspective on the political environment under what he refers to as the “Trump-Musk Admin,” comparing it to an April Fools’ joke. He committed to having the House Democrats counteract actions he perceives as chaotic and harmful to working people. “Every day in the Trump-Musk Admin feels like it SHOULD be an April Fools joke but unfortunately it’s real. @HouseDemocrats will do everything in our power to fight back against the chaos and protect working people for their destruction.”
