Senator Bob Singer has expressed support for Assemblyman Gary Schaer’s initiative to push the New Jersey State Assembly towards adopting a formal definition of anti-Semitism. This legislative move aims to address and combat the rise in anti-Semitic incidents.

Senator Singer stated, “With the recent rise in anti-Semitic actions, it is imperative that we establish a baseline definition of antisemitism in a continued effort to fight back against these atrocities.” He praised Assemblyman Schaer for his persistent efforts to advance this legislation and urged both legislative bodies to prioritize its passage.

Singer is also involved as a sponsor of the Senate’s version of this bill, S1292. The bill successfully moved through the Senate State Government, Wagering, Tourism & Historic Preservation Committee in June with a 4-1 vote.
