The Borough of Milltown announced on April 14 that hydrant flushing required by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection will start on Saturday, April 18 and continue daily until finished.

The scheduled hours for the flushing are from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.

During this period, residents may notice lower water pressure and harmless discolored water as a result of the maintenance process. The borough apologized for any inconvenience caused and thanked residents in advance for their cooperation.

Don Hermann, Water/Sewer Supervisor, and Frank Manco, Councilman and Utilities Liaison, provided the notice regarding the upcoming work.

Hydrant flushing is a routine procedure intended to maintain water quality and ensure proper functioning of the municipal system.
