Early Friday morning, the Camden County Mosquito Control Commission will conduct mosquito spraying and surveillance in several communities across Camden County. The operations are scheduled for September 5, 2025, between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., depending on weather conditions.
Commissioner Jeffrey Nash, who serves as liaison to the Camden County Mosquito Commission, emphasized the importance of community participation in controlling mosquito populations. “It’s important for homeowners to check their yard and get rid any standing water to prevent mosquitos from spreading,” Nash said. “Be sure to check flowerpots and other plastic containers for standing water. Being proactive have major impact on the mosquito population and help the hardworking people at the Camden County Mosquito Control Commission in their efforts.”
The areas targeted for spraying include neighborhoods in Voorhees, Laurel Springs, Cherry Hill, and Audubon. Specific streets listed for treatment include Elena Ct., Milburn Way, Alluvium Lakes Dr., Victor Blvd., Champlain Dr., Saratoga Ct., Cooper Rd., Sunshine Lakes Dr., Garibaldi Dr. in Voorhees; Mt. Vernon Ave., E. Atlantic Ave., Stone Rd., Hemlock Ave., Arch Ave., Chestnut Ave., Washinton Ave., Grand Ave., Broadway, Fairmont Ave., Madison Ave., Central Ave., W. Central Ave. in Laurel Springs; Oregon Ave., Nevada Ave., Montana Ave., Kings Highway S., Park Dr., Harding Ave., Jefferson Ave N.; Jefferson Ave.; Harrison Ave.; Madison Ave.; Cooper Ave.; Wesley Ave.; Edison Ave.; Grant Ave. in Cherry Hill; as well as W. Mercahnt St.; Audubon Ave.; Maple Ave.; W. Graisbury Ave.; Cedarcroft Ave.; Central Ave.; Oswego Ave.; Creston Ave.; Beloit Ave.; Virginia Ave.; N. Merchant St.; Dewey Parker Ave.; W. Residents are advised to remain alert about standing water around their properties since these can serve as breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
