Livingston outlines voting options and locations for June 2 primary election

The Township of Livingston announced on May 19 that the Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, June 2. Voters are encouraged to bring their sample ballot, which they received by mail, to their polling location to confirm their voting district.

This information is important as it helps residents identify where they should vote and understand the available methods for casting a ballot in the upcoming election.

Polling locations include the Livingston Public Library at 10 Robert H. Harp Drive (serving Districts 1, 6, 7, 13, 20, 23, and 24), the Livingston Senior/Community Center at 204 Hillside Avenue (Lower Level entrance; serving Districts 2-5, 10-12, 15-16, 19, and Districts 22-26), and Livingston Town Hall at 357 S. Livingston Avenue (Main Lobby; serving Districts 8-9, and Districts14,17-18,and21). Residents can also use New Jersey’s Polling Place Search Tool at vote.nj.gov to find their assigned polling site.

Three ways to vote are available for this year’s primary: Vote-by-Mail ballots must be postmarked or delivered by Thursday, April16 via any Secure Ballot Drop Box in Essex County or directly to the Board of Elections Office by8:00 p.m.; In-Person Early Voting will be held from Tuesday May26 through Sunday May31 at designated Essex County sites with hours from10:00 a.m.to8:00 p.m.Monday through Saturday,and10:00 a.m.to6:00 p.m.on Sunday.The closest early voting site for Livingston residents is Berson Family Center,South Mountain Recreation Complex in West Orange.Finally,in-person voting on Election Day will occur from6:00 a.m.to8:00 p.m.at each voter’s designated polling place.
