The Borough of Little Silver Public Library announced on June 1 the availability of a part-time library technician position. The role requires working 16 hours per week, specifically on Tuesdays, Fridays, and occasional Saturdays, with a starting pay rate of up to $23.00 per hour.
Applicants for the position are expected to provide circulation desk service and demonstrate computer competency. The job also calls for strong customer service skills, the ability to shelve books and lift up to 25 pounds, familiarity with various social media platforms, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. While a college degree is preferred for this position, prior library experience is considered beneficial but not mandatory.
