The League of American Workers has released a public poll indicating a significant political gender divide among Generation Z voters. The data reveals that young women remain considerably more liberal and less supportive of Republicans compared to their male counterparts.
According to the League of American Workers, this polling highlights a critical challenge for Republicans: the persistent aversion of young women to conservative candidates, despite generational shifts among young men. The report attributes this widening gap to differing perspectives on the economy, healthcare, and family priorities. Restoration News’ analysis suggests that pessimism, rather than feminism or ideology, may be driving young women’s leftward voting patterns. This finding reinforces concerns that Republicans risk losing generational influence if the gender gap continues to expand.
The poll found that former President Donald Trump’s approval rating among men aged 18–25 was 38 percent, compared with just 24 percent among women in the same age group. This 14-point disparity underscores a deepening partisan gender divide, with women showing more skepticism towards GOP economic and cultural messaging. The data further indicated that young women were less likely to cite conservative values or anti-Trump sentiment as motivators for voting, suggesting that emotional and socioeconomic factors may now outweigh ideological commitments in shaping their political preferences.
External surveys corroborate these findings. A 2025 Pew Research Center study reported that 61 percent of women under 30 identify or lean Democratic, compared to 43 percent of men—an 18-point difference and the largest on record. Gallup’s 2024 generational trends report similarly found that Gen Z women are twice as likely as Gen Z men to describe themselves as liberal, even when holding comparable educational and income levels. This divergence illustrates how young women’s political identification has shifted from mild preference to near-uniform partisan alignment with the Democratic Party.
