Jorge Ruvalcaba and Ronald Donkor were named to the Major League Soccer Team of the Matchday after Red Bull New York scored four goals against D.C. United on Apr. 28.

The recognition highlights their strong performances during the match, which saw both players make significant contributions to their team’s offense.

Ruvalcaba scored twice in the game, bringing his season total to three goals. He has now found the net three times in his last three appearances. Donkor recorded his first goal in Major League Soccer and provided two assists during the match.

Donkor, who is from Accra, Ghana, achieved his second career multi-assist performance with this game. His previous multi-assist match was when he had three assists against New England Revolution on July 17, 2025.

The selection of Ruvalcaba and Donkor for Team of the Matchday underscores their recent form and impact for Red Bull New York.
