The New Jersey Department of Transportation announced on April 3 that the I-95 southbound Exit 68 ramp to Route 46 eastbound will be closed tomorrow night in Ridgefield Park, Bergen County. The closure is necessary for concrete bridge repairs and is part of ongoing work that began on March 27.

This temporary closure affects motorists traveling on I-95 southbound who wish to access Route 46 eastbound. The ramp will be closed from Friday, April 3 at 11 p.m. until Saturday, April 4 at 6 a.m., as crews conduct concrete deck repairs on the I-95 ramp over Route 46.

During the closure, drivers will follow a detour directing them from the Exit 68 ramp toward Route 46 westbound through Ridgefield Park. The detour includes continuing straight onto Route 46 westbound, passing through the Ridgefield Avenue intersection, turning right onto Main Street past a gas station, following truck route signs via Main Street Bypass under Route 46, and ultimately merging back onto Route 46 eastbound toward New York or the New Jersey Turnpike.

The repair work is part of a $12.2 million state-funded maintenance contract addressing concrete structures at various locations throughout Bergen and several other counties including Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, Union and Warren. Officials said that exact timing for this project may change depending on weather or other factors.

Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website at www.511nj.org for real-time updates and can follow NJDOT social media accounts for additional news.
